Oman And Algeria Discusses Renewable Energy Collaboration

Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, and Algeria’s Foreign Minister, Ahmed Attaf, co-chaired the eighth session of the Omani-Algerian Joint Committee in Algiers, focusing on enhancing bilateral ties with a special emphasis on renewable energy cooperation.
Both nations underscored the depth of their historical, cultural, and social connections, expressing mutual aspirations to elevate their relations to new heights. They affirmed their satisfaction with the level of political consultation and coordination across regional and international issues of common interest.
During discussions, Oman and Algeria highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration with regional and international organizations to achieve shared interests, particularly in renewable energy development. They praised the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said and Algeria’s President Andelmajdid Tebboune in advancing cooperation in various sectors.
The discussions were complemented by fruitful meetings between representatives of major companies and business leaders from both nations, exploring investment opportunities and fostering economic ties.
